Lal Krishna Advani Biography: Political Career And more: Lal Krishna Advani was born on 8 November 1927. He is an Indian politician who served as the 7th Deputy PM of India (2002-2004). at that time, Late Atal Bihari Bhajpai was the Prime minister of India.

In 1947, L. K. Advani was designated as the Secretary of Rashtriya swayam sewak sangh of Karachi.

In 1951,Lal Krishna Advani became member of Bharatiya Jana Sangh in 1951. which was founded by Shri Shyama Prasad Mukharjee.

After 15 years serving in the jana sangh he become leader of the sangh. (1966-1967).

In 1970, L.K. Advani become member of Rajya Sabha from Delhi. (1970-1976)

In 1973, he was selected as a President of Bharatiya Jana Sangh.

Thereafter from 1976 to 1982, he was designated as a member of Rajya Sabha from Gujarat.

In 1977, after getting terminate from from Jana Sangh, L.K. Advani and Shri. Atal Bihari Vajpayee joined the Janata Party.

In 1977, Janata Party won the elections and Morarji Desai became new PM of India. At that time from Jan 1980 to Apr 1980, L.k. Advani was the opposition leader in Rajya Sabha.

In 1980, Janta party and Bhartiya jan sangh together formed Bharatiya Janta party.

In 1982, Advani was again elected in Rajya Sabha for the 3rd time.
